The importance of arts education:
There have been lots of studies about the impact of arts in education, especially since most schools have severely cut or extinguished their arts programs. While we don't want to burden you with facts and figures, we do want you to realize that an appreciation and understanding of the arts enhances everyone's life.
Experiencing the arts can also improve skills such as reading, writing, speaking, self-esteem, teamwork, and problem-solving to name just a few. Providing a creative environment in which to explore the world can strengthen the chances for young people to bloom into healthy and happy adults. (And the same goes for grown-ups, too!)
How to incorporate arts into your classes:
We provide workshops for students, educators, and facilitators to introduce participants to the arts. We are available to design a workshop specifically for your group, whether it is a particular art discipline you would like to explore or utilizing current workshop topics to greater analyze a theme or topic being studied.
Study Guides are available for organizations that present one of our performances. The guides offer suggestions for arts activities in the classroom related to the performance which will contribute to the student's understanding and appreciation of the arts.
